Surprise Fun in Public Places

I just read about a huge wooden jungle gym that has been temporarily erected in a Tokyo park (read about it at Spoon Tamago). The gym will be removed today. I love these kinds of transitory sites of enjoyment. In August when we were in Tokyo we saw this lovely light show projected onto water vapour in a park. It was billed as "water fireworks"... listen to the kids screaming with excitement at the end!

We did get quite wet after dancing in it though...

This water show was in a shopping center in Fukuoka, and kids could go and operate the water jets afterwards (with the pressure much reduced of course).
